Straddling the North Carolina and Virginia border between I-85 and I-95, Lake Gaston is a 20,000-acre lake bounded by the Kerr Dam and Gaston Dam. There are several boat and jet ski rental options available and public access points to help you spend some time on the water.

Located in Halifax County, Medoc State Park offers hiking and bike trails as well as camping, fishing, and horseback riding.

Cryptozoology & Paranormal Museum
Not your normal museum, this one is dedicated to the study and display of creatures and phenomena not recognized by traditional science (we’re talking about you, Big Foot).
